Kennedy Inc., developed precast bridge abutments to overcome the challenges posed by stricter construction regulations. The first precast abutments were installed on Baskahegan Stream, followed by a second installation across Chase Brook, both of which have proven durable and cost-effective, reducing costs by 30% compared to traditional concrete options.
Since then, we’ve continued to innovate, with successful precast bridge projects at locations like Super Brook and Cusuptic River.
In 1992, Mark Rafford took over the business, expanding its services to include road building, culvert installation, land clearing, and foundation digging. Under Mark’s leadership, the company continued to focus on innovation while maintaining the core values of quality, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
In 2021, Ian Rafford proudly purchased the business from his father, continuing the family’s commitment to quality construction and innovation.
